Why The Get Adulting app prioritizes Customization!

When I started building the Get Adulting app, I wasn’t trying to make a perfect productivity app. I was just tired of using tools that didn’t really work for my brain.
A lot of apps expect you to be consistent, organized, and totally on top of things. They are also quite manual. But that’s not how life works, especially if you're neurodivergent or dealing with executive dysfunction. I needed actual direction, not just the tool. Something that worked for me!
That’s why customization is at the center of everything in this app.
Every Feature is Optional and Designed for You
You don’t have to use every section. You don’t even have to look at them if they’re not helpful.
Don’t have a pet? You can turn off the Pets section so it doesn’t take up space.
Don’t like being flooded with alerts? You can choose whether your reminders are time-sensitive or just quiet notifications. You can even make them more encouraging by turning on Affirmation Mode.
Hate the default color scheme? You can pick a color that feels easier on your eyes. ANY color!

Built for Days When Everything Feels Like Too Much
Some days I’m super focused and I want to log everything. Other days I can’t even remember what I was supposed to do. That’s why I made sure the app doesn’t overwhelm you when you’re already at capacity.
You can collapse sections, simplify your view, and reduce how much is on your screen at once. The hazard icon gently lets you know when something is overdue, without being aggressive or stressful. There’s no red exclamation marks or loud banners yelling at you, just a reminder that grabs your attention. If you want to be pushed a bit more, turn on Pester Mode and get weekly reminders of your overdue items.
Customization was always my focus!
I didn’t add these customization features as extra perks. They’re the foundation. The color customization alone took forever to get working in the app, but it was so worth it! I wanted the Get Adulting app to work with you, not add more pressure/dysfunction. Everyone’s life looks different. Everyone’s brain works differently. So why should a life-management app feel so one-size-fits-all?
Thanks for Being Here
I’ve gotten messages from neurodivergent folks, schools, and even therapists saying this app has helped people feel a little more grounded. That means a lot to me, and I’m still adding features based on your feedback! (And yes, an Android version is coming.)
The Get Adulting app is available on iOS only for $1.99 per year with a FREE 7 day trial to test it out.
Thank you for taking the time to read,
Breanna
